Ladies and gentlemen, the name’s Jenna Duddleston!
I’m from the southside of Chicago born and bred.
When it came to college, I started at Barry University on a volleyball scholarship, but then I tore my TFCC (equivalent to the ACL of the wrist) and lost the scholarship. So I moved on to Southwest Minnesota State University where we finished as NSIC regular season and tournament champions.
When my wrist never fully healed, it was time to head back to big city life. I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Journalism.
Now, if I had to describe myself in a few words it’s simple: I’m fluent in sports, sarcasm, food, booze and shoes.
Thanks to growing up watching my dad play 16 inch softball, I became a diehard for baseball. Living in the shadows of Comiskey Park, baseball is apart of my DNA.
I’m a Chicago girl through and through and will defend my teams to the end; Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and White Sox. Think I’m missing a team? Think again! Where I’m from you pick a side: north or south. Nothing makes me more sick than Cubby blue.
When I’m not watching sports or talking sports, you can find me talking about all forms of booze. I’m at bartender at my family’s bar, Shinnick’s Pub, one of the oldest bars in Chicago.
I’m also trying to get as many stamps in my passport as possible and see all the MLB stadiums! But my ultimate goal, is to have my own shoe closet. Wait, scratch that, shoe ROOM, wine bar and all!
